I have over 20 years experience as a computer programmer, originally developing I.T. systems for companies including Sony, Polygram, Commercial Union, and Morgan Stanley.

 

In 2003 I completed a Masters degree in Internet Engineering. My dissertation was on the use of Open Source Software to facilitiate Internet access in developing countries.

 

From 2004 - 2006 I worked as an I.T. advisor in Nigeria. I was a volunteer with VSO, and worked with a range of organisations to enable them to make effective use of I.T.  My most satisfying achivement was setting up a programme to train young unemployed graduates as I.T. support specialists to work with community banks.
